GAY RIGHTS ACTIVIST GARRY BURNS CALLS ON NSW POLICE COMMISSIONER ANDREW SCIPIONE TO SACK OR DEMOTE CHIEF INSPECTOR PAMALA YOUNG OVER HER PUBLIC OUTBURST IN RELATION TO HOMOSEXUAL MAN SCOTT JOHNSON’S SUSPECTED HOMICIDE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
14 April 2015
Gay rights activist Garry Burns calls on Commissioner of Police , Andrew Scipione to sack or demote Detective Chief Inspector Pamela Young of homicide over her “Absolutely improper” statement in today’s media in relation to former Minister of Police.
Chief Inspector young said Mr.Gallacher’s intervention during an interview on the ABC’s Late line program on Monday night. “ Wrong on every level in relation to homicide investigations. Victims are equal. It was very wrong”.
Inspector Young claims Mr.Johnson’s brother , Steve , wielded influence with the government in his campaign to prove that 27-year-old Scott did not commit suicide by jumping from a cliff- the finding of the first inquest in 1989 – but was thrown to his death in a “ gay hate “ crime.
Garry Burns said , “ Yeah if you are a homosexual man murdered in NSW you are not treated so equal at all by NSW Police. Inspector Young needs to carefully reconsider her insensitive and pernicious outburst against Mr.Gallacher in relation to him wanting to find answers to a tragedy that has possessed them ( THE FAMILY ) for nearly 40 years. This officer is an absolute bloody disgrace and in my opinion is not fit to serve as a member of the NSW Police Force”.
